Your LinkedIn account could be compromised.
Passwords for many users of business-networking website LinkedIn were among a list of 6.5 million stolen passwords published today on a Russian website.
LinkedIn confirmed the publication on the company’s blog this afternoon.
While yours may or may not have been on the list, CMIT Solutions highly recommends that you change your LinkedIn password as soon as possible to avoid having your account compromised.
In addition, if you use the same password for multiple accounts, we recommend you change those passwords as well.
“[LinkedIn] did not offer any information about how the passwords were stolen or the extent of the damage, but it said it is ‘continuing to investigate’ the matter.”
