Position Title: Superstar IT Manager

Position Type: technician

Position Description:
CMIT Solutions of Lake Forest, an award-winning outsourced IT support and managed services provider, is looking for a Superstar "IT Manager" to work with our team to manage the networks of our business office clients. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated at CMIT. You will work directly with a team of superstar IT Network Engineers to run the IT networks of many businesses throughout Chicagoland, mostly in the Northern Suburbs. You will be relied upon to co-manage client networks each and every day. This is a position that rewards your Superstar IT Manager skills and abilities.

Position Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS of the position are as follows: • Knowledge of basic, intermediate and advanced desktop/PC troubleshooting skills • Knowledge of basic, intermediate and advanced server/network troubleshooting skills • Knowledge and ability to administer and maintain client servers and networks in a production environment • In-depth knowledge of Windows XP, Server 2003 and Small Business Server 2003 operating systems • In-depth knowledge of Exchange Server • Ability to install and maintain SonicWALL and Cisco small business firewalls, routers and VPNs • Ability to quickly analyze computer-related problems and quickly develop the correct course of action • Ability to solve advanced server, backup and security problems without assistance • Able to recommend proper course of action for new or existing customers • Helps co-workers and shares information readily • Gives and receives information to and from clients in a courteous and effective manner • Knowledge and expertise in business class security best practices with practical skill and experience in implementing the strategies • Knowledge and expertise in business class backup and recovery best practices with practical skill and experience in implementation • Ability to manage multiple client tickets and appointments without dropping the ball • Ability to prioritize activities of various customer needs • Ability to implement a server install or migration in an office setting according to a project plan and within budgeted timeframes • Ability to approach customers with problems and develop resolution satisfactory to both parties • Willingness to admit mistakes to management and develop resolution on own • Ability to work with team members on accounts • Ability to work with team members on a project • Ability to give direction to a project team • Ability to study past history of clients to gain a solid understanding of the relationship • Follows up with customers and vendors promptly • Willingness to adapt to CMIT’s standard business practices • Ability to take over a task from another co-worker and work it to completion • Ability to document work done on behalf of a client in a timely and understandable manner • Ability to accurately quote customer projects in a timely manner • Accessibility to do weekend assignments • Accessibility to respond to communication during off hours • Accessibility to transportation to/from client sites
