We guarantee that there will always be a live person answering your calls if you have any issues and we'll respond rapidly to solve problems

We offer VOIP services because a lot of small and medium sized companies are moving away from traditional phone to this service, the main reason being cost effectiveness and high quality.

We are concerned about the safety and security of small businesses. We can help you become compliant with these safety standards.

Arsam (pronounced Arsham) has a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. After spending 5 years in AT&T Bell Labs which was one of the world’s premier scientific research facilities, he joined IBM Corporation in East Fishkill where he spent 20 years in many different capacities as researcher, data analysis engineer and project manager.

Arsam  has lived thru the entire computer revolution that started with punching holes on cards/tapes and advanced rapidly to where we are today. The main goals have not changed over the years, data backup, data recovery, network security were of paramount importance back then, and they are still very important now. Because they can afford to have an IT support department,  large corporations can have their unique IT service needs addressed; however similar services remain out of reach for SMBs. Arsam’s goal is to provide the same kind of IT consulting and IT services to SMBs that large corporations receive at an affordable price, while enabling  them to reach their full potential, increase their productivity and streamline their operations.

CMIT Solutions of Greater Poughkeepsie  covers the Southern Dutchess county in the State of NY,including Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Falls, Fishkill and more where Arsam has lived with his wife and two sons for many years. In January of 2010 CMIT Solutions of Greater Danbury became part of the operation and thus the business was renamed to CMIT Solutions of Greater Poughkeepsie and Danbury. Arsam and his family are active members of the St. Gregory The Enlightener Armenian Church in White Plains,NY where Arsam was appointed a deacon.  He has coached for the East Fishkill soccer club for two years and his son plays soccer as well.

The fight against autism is a main pursuit for Arsam and his wife, because one of their sons is on the autism  spectrum. They pursue new therapies, new ideas and share information with parents who’s children have also been affected by autism. They enjoy living in Dutchess County and want to contribute to this community as much as they can.

Arsam is the President of the operation, as well as the business and technical manager. Arsam and his team are dedicated to being “your technology team” so that clients can focus on their business while CMIT Solutions of  Greater Poughkeepsie focuses on their technology.

CMIT Solutions is a nationwide provider of information technology (IT) services and solutions for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs). Our lead technician was honored by Interlude Inc at the annual breakfast on 6/3/2011 at Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, CT. He was given the "Friend of Interlude"  award. Interlude Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Danbury, CT, helping people who suffer from mental illnesses, alcoholism and drug abuse in the community. Our technician received this award for helping setup computers and a network for Interlude by volunteering his own personal time. We, as a franchise, are strongly committed to support community organizations in this harsh economic climate where they are unable to raise enough money thru donations.

Our franchise was honored at the 2011 CMIT Solutions annual convention in Austin, Texas, in April as the winner of the prestigious "Momentum" award. We received this award because we were able to raise our revenue month after month since January 2010, and continue to do so. The secret to our success is hard work, dedication, and passionate commitment to our customer's needs. You can go to the website below to read more about this.

Our franchise was named "Franchise of the Month" in October of 2010, for continously achieving revenue growth during 2010. We are very grateful to our loyal customers who have worked with us and made this possible, because they have made us better.

We provide remote, automated monitoring of your computer and network to make sure your business will be up 100% of the time for a monthly affordable fee, that will eliminate high cost of repairs. Your Dell PC or server will arrive very quickly.

We provide onsite and offsite backup services and disaster recovery along with virtualization capability, to provide business continuity. Statistics show that 50% of businesses that experience a hard data loss, go out of business within 1 year of the event.

We provide hosted exchange, hosted email, website hosting, sharepoint and other document management services.

We provide remote Help Desk for businesses, 24/7, US based, always ready to help whatever computer problems you may be having. In addition, our dedicated staff of technicians provides onsite service to resolve every problem you experience at reasonable prices.

We provide project management and fulfillment services, if you are installing a new ERP system, or a CRM, we can help you choose the right system for you, and offer our expertise in project-managing the entire installation process and making sure that every component of the system is working as expected and all employees are well trained to use it.

Our world class cloud computing solution will free up clients from the headaches of maintaining, upgrading servers. If you are a small business and can't afford a $20,000 server, don't worry, you can get a cloud server for a small fraction of this amount, and upgrade it to match your needs as your business grows.

Another groundbreaking product is a giant touchpad that takes videoconferencing and visual presentation to a new level. With a multi-touch high definition 55-inch display, high performance Intel i5 PC running the latest Windows 7 Pro, full version of MS Office, digital whiteboard, high definition 720p camera with 4 integrated microphones, voice optimized sound bar for improved dialog clarity, this will definitely impress any business owner.

CMIT formed a strategic partnership with OKI Data Americas in September 2012. This partnership allows us to provide total managed print services in USA and each CMIT franchise becomes a reseller for OKI services and products. This means that we are now able to sell printers and printer supplies at low cost as well as provide the services that go with it. We service all major printer brands, call us if you need printer solutions. Our

We offer VOIP services. Businesses of all shapes and sizes are shifting from public switched telephone network (PSTN) to VoIP to save money, while vastly increasing productivity. Experts agree that VoIP is inherently changing the way companies conduct business, on many different levels. If you are considering migrating to VoIP, call us and our experts will help you.you’ve already migrated to VoIP or are considering taking the leap,   . I

Last but not least, we are offering HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance for medical providers and PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance for financial service providers. HIPAA compliance is very critical for any medical provider because patient records have to be kept strictly confidential and  protecting the data from hackers is very critical. If you call us, we'll visit your office, check your equipment and provide you with a plan on how to proceed to make you HIPAA compliant. Similarly, financial service providers need to be PCI compliant, that means any client records such as SS numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers must be kept strictly confidential, and protecting the data from hackers is very critical. We'll give you a plan on how to become PCI compliant after checking your office equipment.

Violations of HIPAA and PCI compliance requirements are punishable from a few $1000's to $1,000,000.

When IT engineer Susan Bateman worked as a project manager for IBM, she noticed that, during conference calls, a member of her technical team from IBM India always called her "Sir."

After the third time it happened, she asked, "Last summer when you worked with me in Boulder, did you think I was a man?" He answered "Oh, no, Susan! It's just that I've never had a lady boss before."

Hotel Wi-Fi is counterintuitive: Low-budget spots tend to offer it free of charge, while luxury resorts charge an arm and a leg. But that may soon change as customers start demanding free wireless as a basic human right.

In 2010, travelers have come to expect a few complimentary amenities when they check into their rooms. And as travelers look to stay connected on the road, reliable high-speed Internet access is increasingly on the short list of hotel necessities - especially wireless access, or Wi-Fi.

It's a small-business owner's worst nightmare - computer failure, loss of data, anything that makes the business stop or shut down. In the case of Scott Peck, from Escondido CPA firm Dunlap, Dunlap and Peck, it was a well-meaning intern who accidentally deleted the company's 5,000-person contact list.

"Luckily, when I heard about it, I just laughed," Peck said.

This has not been a good few weeks for the world of Internet security. Just over a month ago, business-networking site LinkedIn had the passwords of millions of its users posted to a hacker forum.

Today, Yahoo! Inc. confirmed that a file containing what appear to be usernames and passwords for 453,492 accounts had briefly been posted online. However, it appears that it's not just Yahoo...

For many small-business owners, spending time “at the office” is becoming more and more of a luxury. With days spent out on sales calls, networking, running errands, or generally being out-and-about, owners often have limited time for staying on top of day-to-day operations.

Fortunately, recent advances in technology provide powerful methods for staying connected while on-...

Change isn’t always necessarily a bad thing, but if it has a detrimental effect on your ability to communicate, it’s hard to argue that it’s not. Especially when those changes are made without warning and without your permission.

So what is this change? Last week, Facebook summarily decided that its users should be using their @facebook.com address (did you even know you had an @...

The cloud is indispensable but still prone to outages — and MSPs can reduce the risk

We all know cloud computing is here to stay. It’s too easy to maintain, too flexible and too cheap to not use — especially if you’re a small business owner with data storage needs and functions that strain your average on-site server.

"For our [clinical research facility], it was better to have a preventive plan in place so that if something did break, we would be ahead of it, and it wouldn’t break instead of waiting for something to happen and then fix it. So, now CMIT is monitoring everything, and we haven’t had any issues so they can catch the problem before it even happens. "
"CMIT is all about peace of mind, and literally, it doesn't cost you anything because you are saving the money on me working on the computer when I'm losing business. In today's economy, you don't want to be late sending bills out, you've got to be out there because if you start falling behind you're going to see the amount of income drop dramatically. So, Greg and CMIT make us look more...
"Whereas our systems were originally only getting backed up on a monthly basis, CMIT was able to come in and now they are automatically backed up to the server. We had a center in the DFW area that did lose everything. They made a phone call to CMIT, and CMIT was able to restore their data within a couple of hours. We’re monitored on a 24/7 basis, so even if there was something that were to...
"The way CMIT does business is just much more suitable for our type of business environment. We have deadlines and critical schedules to meet, and we need to be moving forward at all times. CMIT provides data on a monthly basis, which allows us to look at trends and be proactive with our decisions and our methods for improving our system. Every time my system improves, that means my efficiency...
"CMIT dealt with my local backup needs so that if I just need to get one specific piece of information, they can actually do it remotely from their office and get my people back and going. If I do have a catastrophic disaster that takes my entire building, I have laptops and everything else that I can have up immediately. I can use my web-based information storage and be back up and running...
"We pride ourselves that we are the company that gives instant customer service. We were getting to a point where it was extremely difficult, and we didn't want to lose our customer base. We wanted to also expand. I said, 'I need somebody to do something to allow us to be the company that we started out to be and to continue and to grow.' CMIT has helped us to do just that.   "
"Since partnering with CMIT, I can now not worry about whether or not my computers are working. I've got backups, monitoring, I can get reports, and I know where I'm having risks and threats. I now can rely on my IT people (CMIT) to take care of my IT problems and to keep that IT system up and running in an appropriate manner. That is something before I couldn't rely on. I now have a system!...
"We didn’t initiate offsite backups in the beginning, but with the start of the hurricane season we said, 'OK guys, we now have this wonderful system, but it's not really complete yet.' We're now able to back up our data, it's safely transported and stored offsite, and it’s all HIPAA compliant. And the NAS device can actually work as our server so we can continue to use our systems and do...
"With other IT service providers, we felt that we only got assistance when we requested it, and we normally came up with any ideas for improvements on our system rather than them. I was not impressed with the service, the communication or the end product at that point. Our experience has really set CMIT and Sue and John who run the show for them here apart from the others. They are more...
"We use large aerial imagery that can sometimes be 30 or 40 GB in size. There would be times that I would wait 30 seconds to a minute and a half for an image to appear. CMIT Solutions helped us rehabilitate the computers on hand, put in a network infrastructure, and put in faster switches. Now, it can be instantaneous to 15 seconds for a map to load. I kind of feel like I'm spoiled!   "
