"My name is Brian Overheidt and I'm the Business Manager for Terrace Supply Company. I handle the marketing, accounting, technology, and overall financial business plan for Terrace Supply. Terrace has three locations, and we supply industrial gases, welding supplies, and automotive supplies to a wide variety of customers in the Chicagoland area. I received a marketing letter from Scott Brennan & CMIT Solutions, which described they kinds of technology problems companies can find themselves in. The letter was well-timed, because it addressed the issues we were having with our former computer provider, who was someone we had been using for over 20 years. We didn't see the drive and the professionalism to finally solve some nagging problems--like not having a regular data backup. We were looking at putting in a new computer system and I felt we needed a new technology company that would help us solve our existing problems and takes us to a new level by implementing a new system. When we brought in CMIT Solutions, they were able to solve our backup issue right away. We realized what a huge risk we were taking by not having consistent backups. Terrace Supply Company services over 5,000 customers and if we didn't have that data we wouldn't have any information on our products, pricing, past history on our customers, outstanding billings, or product inventory. If we had to reconstruct our data, we would have had to go back through all of our paper invoices--and that would take one person at least a day to take care of just one client's data--which means we would be looking at 5,000 days to reconstruct our data! I sleep a lot better knowing that the new backup system is in place. I sat down with CMIT Solutions and we developed a plan to lock-down our systems and document all our system passwords. CMIT took care of this, right according to plan--and we did not have one problem as a result of that switch-over. If the "switch-over" is what's stopping some companies from switching to a more effective technology company, I would highly recommend that they use CMIT Solutions. They did a fantastic job of switching us over to our new system, and documenting our systems and passwords as a result. The fact that CMIT had several local technicians AND is also part of a national company was very important to Terrace Supply. We had been in a situation where we had just one computer person, and if that person decided to not answer the phone, quit, move to the Caribbean, get hit by a bus; whatever the case--we needed someone else who could step in and provide computer support. I feel secure in that if Scott and his team come up against something that they can't find the answer to, they'll be able to find the answer by reaching out to their National support network. Terrace Supply Company chose to go with CMIT's Marathon computer service, in order to take advantage of their pro-active monitoring and support. I want to be able to focus on moving the business forward and making our company more productive, profitable, and efficient. We can't worry about our technology infrastructure. If we do have a problem, I know it is going to be handled--which is well worth the cost of the Marathon service. In the past we had constant system outages. With Marathon we have not had one problem. Scott Brennan and I met for the first time over breakfast, and from the moment I met him I knew I was dealing with a professional. He presents himself that way in his marketing materials, and he presents himself that way in person. He brings a business-like approach to a computer industry that is in need of this approach. They focus on the needs of our business and Scott understands the importance of excellent customer service. Scott is fantastic about getting to know our business. He and I have sat down on more than one occasion to discuss our plans for the future and he has come back with suggestions that we have implemented. He is getting more and more familiar with our business and as he does so he provides more and more solutions to the technology issues that we face. Anytime a company is in a situation where they have to wait on computer service, or they find themselves in a situation where their computer systems keeps breaking down, or they don't have reliable data back-ups, the list goes on and on, it would be in the best interest of that company to talk with CMIT Solutions and get a better understanding about the type of service they should expect. "Addus Healthcare is a national provider of home health, private duty, and related health services. We have approximately 12,000 employees and 120 locations in 12 states. Addus serves about 40,000 patients each year. As an industry leader in a rapidly growing field, it is critical that our computer systems are functioning properly for effective operational management. About a year ago, we were in the process of searching for a network administrator when we received a marketing letter from CMIT Solutions. With 19 years of experience building Addus from a small player to a national leader, I have been approached by hundreds of vendors with similar support claims. CMIT, however, presented several compelling reasons to give them a shot to prove themselves. Initially, we anticipated using their in-house and national expertise for backup support and administrative oversight. However, it wasn't long after our initial agreement for their Marathon Computer Services that Scott and his team began to prove themselves. Having grown accustomed to the pressure of various types of routine network hiccups, I was pleased to instead learn about problems after they had been detected and addressed by CMIT. CMIT Solutions has addressed my initial concerns about fast response times and we continue to be impressed by the overall quality, national presence, and their team approach to problem solving. An additional reason for increasing our reliance on CMIT Solutions comes down to value. Like most companies, our IT budgets are limited. CMIT provides great service and a large bank of expertise, for less money than we could possible have with a single network administrator. Scott's team also works well with our existing, internal, technology staff and I recommend Scott and his team at CMIT Solutions.
