Hotel Wi-Fi is counterintuitive: Low-budget spots tend to offer it free of charge, while luxury resorts charge an arm and a leg. But that may soon change as customers start demanding free wireless as a basic human right.
In 2010, travelers have come to expect a few complimentary amenities when they check into their rooms. And as travelers look to stay connected on the road, reliable high-speed Internet access is increasingly on the short list of hotel necessities - especially wireless access, or Wi-Fi.
